Welcome to the Flip Flop Inn (formerly known as Birches 2). This large contemporary 2 storey townhouse comfortably sleeps up to 8 people. The private courtyard area with direct access off the kitchen to the purpose-built ground-level timber deck offers an outdoor dining setting and a gas BBQ, perfect for outdoor entertaining.
The air-conditioned open plan living/dining/kitchen area is located downstairs with this area thoughtfully including a 3rd toilet and direct internal access to the garage and laundry. The kitchen features contemporary appliances including gas cooktop, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, 2 door refrigerator and an Aldi coffee machine (coffee pods NOT supplied). Indoor entertainment includes Foxtel, free WIFI and a DVD player. A high chair is also available.
Upstairs the four bedrooms include a queen size master suite with ensuite, air-conditioning, walk-in robe & north facing balcony catching cooling summer breezes & warm winter sun. The other 3 bedrooms each have built-in robes & ceiling fans. There is also a large bathroom with separate bath & shower and hairdryer.
Flip Flop Inn is conveniently located in the heart of Amity opposite 'Seashells Cafe' within minutes walking distance of all amenities, including the rock wall for fishing, Amity beach, public jetty, boat ramp and swimming enclosure. The yard is securely fenced and pet friendly though really only suitable for smaller dogs as the yard is quite small (outside only) Off street parking in lock up garage and outside parking for second car. Very difficult to manoeuvre and park a boat on this property however, there is room on the footpath.
Fresh linen is supplied and will be at the property in a black laundry bag. Quilts, sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, hand towels and teatowels are all provided. All you need to bring are the beach towels. If you wish the beds to be made on arrival, please upgrade to the premium linen package during the booking process or advise our staff when you book over the phone.
"We can highly recommend Flip Flop Inn (formerly Birch 2), where we were fortunate to enjoy a recent 3-night stay. The new owners have created a 'home-away-from-home', adding special touches such as a fully kitted trolley to pull along to the beach; plenty of kitchen mod cons and personal touches in the living areas and upstairs bedrooms. Set back off the road, the unit is modern, spacious, cool and meticulously maintained. Amity Point's attractions and amenities are within easy walking distance. Bird life is abundant and you may be fortunate to spot a koala or two on your evening stroll. A highlight for us was to spend a day on the island's popular Flinders Beach to laze in the sun and cool off in the sea. It is worth obtaining the necessary 4WD permit to be able to make the most of this beautiful stretch of beach. Thank you to our hosts for a truly relaxing time spent at Flip Flop Inn."
